Moksha [mok^sha] is a Sanskrit word meaning liberation, freedom.
Moksha Yoga is a form of “hot” yoga that is ideal for the yoga beginner as well as the seasoned practitioner. Moksha is a unique series of 40 postures that combines the precision of therapeutic yoga and the foundations of traditional yoga, practiced in a hot-room and/or Moksha Studio. The series works to stretch, strengthen and tone the muscles while detoxifying the body and calming the mind.
Moksha-Inspired Yoga: Moksha-Inspired yoga classes in St. John’s are led by Certified Moksha Yoga Instructors, Jill Holden and Stephen Vardy. All Moksha-Inspired yoga classes are based on the Moksha series, practiced in a heated room with added humidity, however not considered “hot” yoga. The Moksha series focuses on breathing, proper alignment and modifications, helps to strengthen, rejuvenate and rehabilitate the body and mind in a safe and effective manner.
